Thursday 30 July 2026 {HMC} President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud chaired a meeting of the Federal Government of Somalia’s Council of Ministers, where discussions focused on national security, the country’s ongoing independent elections, and democracy.
The Cabinet received updates on the latest military operations carried out by the Somali National Armed Forces, highlighting significant successes that dealt major blows to Al-Shabaab.
The Council also approved the Business Registration and Licensing Bill and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Türkiye and Somalia’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
