Saturday, August 8, 2026 {HMC} Iran has presented six conditions that it said the United States must meet in order to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim.
The United States is required to;
•Not to threaten Iran in any way or use threatening words, nor to insult or desecrate places and objects sacred to the Iranian people.
•To completely end the war and attacks against Iran and its allies in Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen and Iraq.
•To lift the naval blockade on Iran, and to remove US naval and air forces from Iran’s vicinity.
•To fully compensate Iran for the losses caused by the two wars it has waged, according to Iran.
•Lifting the harsh sanctions imposed on Iran, which Tehran has described as illegal and punishing the Iranian people.
•Unconditionally releasing the funds and assets of the Iranian people, which Iran has described as frozen or confiscated.
•Iran has said that these demands are the demands of the Iranian people, which it argues have been continuously demonstrated in the squares and streets for 160 days.
Tehran has also said that Iran’s Supreme National Security Council will not give up on these demands, whether in times of war or in times of negotiations.
