Mogadishu, 26 October 2026.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Ali, attended the Somali National Fisheries Week Forum 2026 tofay in Mogadishu, urging Somali businesspeople to invest in the country’s seas, fisheries, livestock and agriculture, describing them as the opportunities the world is competing for today and key drivers of Somalia’s economic growth.
The annual forum brings together leaders from the Federal Government and Federal Member States, international investors, banks, development institutions and fishing communities to expand investment in a sector central to Somalia’s blue economy.
