Tuesday 4 August 2026 {HMC} H.E. Ali Omar, State Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received H.E. Witjaksono Adji, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Kenya and non-resident Ambassador to Somalia.
Ambassador Adji reaffirmed Indonesia’s support for Somalia’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, while the State Minister outlined Somalia’s maritime and blue economy priorities in the Indian Ocean region.
As fellow OIC members, the two countries agreed to establish working-level technical teams for cooperation in maritime resource management, capacity building and sustainable development. The meeting reflected strengthening Somalia-Indonesia relations grounded in mutual respect and shared strategic interests.
