Tuesday 7 July 2026 {HMC} Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed his US counterpart Donald Trump to Ankara, as the two-day NATO summit officially opened.
Following the reception, an official event is scheduled to be held at the Turkish presidential palace, where the two leaders will hold face-to-face talks and meetings.
The meetings will focus on bilateral relations, regional affairs, and current international developments, with a joint press conference expected to conclude.
The 2026 NATO summit, which will bring together heads of state from the alliance and their allies, will focus on key issues including the Middle East conflict and the Iran-US ceasefire.
