Mogadishu, 28 June 2026 {HMC} The Somali Police Force, particularly the Capital Police and the Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID), which conducted a large-scale operation, has arrested individuals in its first phase who are involved in bad practices and spreading bad culture.
The suspects arrested from the community include those accused of spreading bad culture that directly contradicts the moral values ​​of Islam and the values ​​of Somali society. In addition, individuals who organized and brought together those who committed bad culture were arrested.
The Police Force continues its intensive operation to eradicate practices that are against the morality and values ​​of society, and other individuals involved in such acts are still being pursued. All suspects are under investigation, and will be referred to the competent Court to be brought to justice.
Anyone found engaging in immoral acts or practices that are against social norms will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law. The Police also warn business owners not to allow their premises to be used for the organization or dissemination of immoral acts.
