Sunday 05, July 2026 {HMC} The Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Ahmed Macallin Fiqi, together with the Commander of the Somali National Army, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Mohamed Mohamud, and members of the Somali Federal Parliament, held a general meeting tonight with the community of Ceeldheer district in the Galgaduud region.
The meeting focused on the security situation, development of the district, the acceleration of operations against terrorist groups and the importance of public participation in the electoral process.
The Minister of Defense commended the people of Ceeldheer district for their support for the Somali National Army and the significant role they are playing in ensuring security and liberating areas where terrorist groups are hiding.
The Commander of the Somali National Army, Brigadier General Ibrahim Mohamed Mohamud, for his part, praised the people of Ceeldheer district for their support for the forces, urging them to further strengthen their cooperation with the Somali National Army to accelerate operations to eliminate terrorist groups and ensure sustainable security.
