Friday 26, June 2026 {HMC} The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hamsa Abdi Barre, concluded this afternoon a two-day working trip to the Galmudug capital of Dhusamareb, where he held important meetings with the leaders of the Galmudug State and various sectors of society.
Prime Minister Hamsa successfully concluded his discussions with the Galmudug leadership, especially President Ahmed Abdi Kariye, during which the DanQaran Government focused on holding peaceful elections in Galmudug areas, in order to avoid anything that could set back the progress made.
The Prime Minister commended President Ahmed Abdi for his announcements regarding the holding of one-person, one-vote elections, expressing his commitment to conduct the elections and then hand over power to the winner in a responsible and peaceful manner.
Before departing from Dhusamareb, Mr. Hamsa met with Galmudug politicians at the federal and state levels, who expressed their commitment to further advance Galmudug state-building and strengthen the good tradition of transfer of power.
The Prime Minister was seen off at the airport by the President of Galmudug, Ahmed Abdi Kariye, and the Commander of the National Security and Intelligence Agency (NISA), Mahad Salad.
