Sunday, June 28, 2026 {HMC} The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and his delegation arrived in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, today on a working trip, where they were warmly welcomed.
The visit of the President of the Republic to Ethiopia is aimed at strengthening diplomatic relations and strategic cooperation between Somalia and Ethiopia, with priority given to security issues, regional stability and the development of mutual interests between the two countries.
President Hassan Sheikh will meet with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed during his stay in Addis Ababa, where they will discuss strengthening cooperation between the two countries, especially in the areas of security, economy and affairs in the Horn of Africa region.
