Mogadishu, Somalia | 5 July 2026 The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Ali, today received the Ambassador of the European Union to Somalia, H.E. Francesca Di Mauro, on a farewell courtesy call marking the end of her diplomatic tenure.
The Minister commended Ambassador Di Mauro’s service, congratulated her on her appointment as Director for Africa at the European External Action Service (EEAS), and thanked the European Union for its continued partnership with Somalia.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and exchanged best wishes for her new role.
