Sunday 21, June 2026 {HMC} The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and the President of Kenya, William Ruto, discussed strengthening security, peace and development in the region, following a meeting in the Kenyan town of Narok.
The meeting between the two Presidents focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Somalia and Kenya, especially cooperation in the areas of security, stability, trade, border management and development in the Horn of Africa region.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who paid a visit to Kenya today, discussed with his counterpart William Ruto the importance of further strengthening cooperation between the two countries, as Somalia and Kenya share security, economic and social interests that are important for the future of the region.
