Sunday, 6, Sep 2026 {HMC} Israel’s National Security Council has issued a new warning regarding security threats facing Israelis and Jews outside Israel, including Somaliland, stating that the Houthis intend to target Israelis traveling to Somaliland.
According to i24NEWS, the Council said terrorist groups have increased their efforts to target Israelis and Jews, with threats present in various countries and regions around the world.
The Council has placed Somaliland, Jordan, Qatar, and Egypt, including the Sinai Peninsula, under Level 4 travel warnings, advising Israeli citizens to completely avoid these countries and areas.
The report also stated that groups including Hezbollah, Hamas, ISIS, and Al-Qaeda continue to issue threats and calls for attacks against Israelis and Jews.
The Council added that the Houthis have also called for harm to Israelis in Somaliland and other parts of Africa, citing Israel’s presence on the continent as a reason.
The warning comes as Israel’s National Security Council says there has been an increase worldwide in attacks carried out by lone individuals targeting Israelis and Jews.
