Sunday, July 12, 2026 {HMC} Iran’s Acting Minister of Defence has announced that the country’s missile and drone production projects continued uninterrupted during the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. He said that instead of slowing down, Iran’s drone production tripled during the war.
Brigadier General Majid Ibn-e-Reza made the remarks on Saturday during a joint meeting between officials from Iran’s Ministry of Defence and members of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee.
“We are fully aware of the enemy’s weaknesses, and we also have complete confidence in our own capabilities,” General Majid Ibn-e-Reza said.
The acting minister added that the United States and Israel entered the conflict with the objective of overthrowing the Islamic Republic of Iran, but failed to achieve that goal.
“The recent conflict has demonstrated that Iran’s scientists and continued investment in advanced technologies are the most important pillars in strengthening the country’s defence capabilities,” he stated.
Majid Ibn-e-Reza also stressed that Iran’s defence capabilities—particularly its missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) programs—are a non-negotiable cornerstone of the country’s national security.
“The defence capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially in the fields of missiles and drones, are a red line when it comes to national security. They have never been, and will never be, subject to negotiation,” he said.
