Saturday 12 Juun 2026 {HMC} The Commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Ibrahim Mohamed Mohamud, met with the Defense Attaché of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Somalia, Brigadier General Ahmed Fathi Abdisitar.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation in the areas of military training, supporting the AUSSOM operation, and developing military relations between Somalia and Egypt.
During the meeting, the Commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces stressed the importance of strengthening the historical relations between the two countries and the close cooperation between Somalia and Egypt.
For his part, the Defense Attaché of the Egyptian Embassy, ​​Brigadier General Ahmed Fathi Abdisitar, confirmed the Egyptian government’s commitment to continuing its support to Somalia, in order to strengthen security, stability, and develop the capabilities of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
Finally, the Commander thanked the Egyptian government for its support to Somalia, especially in the areas of defense, training, and capacity building of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
