Tuesday, October 13, 2026 {HMC} – The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation presented a detailed report to the Council announcing the recovery of Somalia’s IATA code system for airline ticketing—a significant right restored to the country.
This system is crucial for Somalia’s capacity to manage and regulate flight ticketing services—specifically regarding ticketing protocols and integration with international travel systems—thereby strengthening the administration and quality of the country’s civil aviation services and restoring rights that had previously been lost to the public.
