Saturday 6, June 2026 {HMC} Djiboutian troops serving in Somalia today marked the 49th anniversary of the Djibouti National Defence Forces (DNDF) in Beletweyne.
The celebration featured military parades, a wreath-laying ceremony in honour of fallen heroes, and recognition of the service and sacrifice of Djiboutian personnel serving in Somalia since 2011.
The event highlighted the strong partnership among AUSSOM forces, Somali security institutions, local authorities, and international partners.
AUSSOM Sector 4 Commander, Col. Abdourahman Rayale, congratulated the troops on the milestone and commended their professionalism, dedication, and contribution to peace, security, and stability in Somalia.
