Monday 24 Aug 2026 {HMC} The Basic Officers Course has successfully concluded, marking an important milestone in the professional development of the participating officers.
The closing ceremony brought together course participants, instructors and distinguished guests to recognize their commitment, discipline and professionalism throughout the training.
The ceremony was honoured by the attendance of the EUTM Somalia Mission Force Commander, Brigadier General Elio Manes; the Chief of Defence Force, Brigadier General Ibrahim Mohamed Mohamud; the Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command, Brigadier General Ahmed Issa Ahmed; and the Commander of the Land Forces, Brigadier General Sahal Abdullahi Omar. Their presence added significance to this important occasion.
The successful completion of the course reflects EUTM-Somalia’s continued commitment to strengthening professional military education and supporting the development of capable, responsible and committed officers.
