Sunday 9 Aug 2026 {HMC} Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected US President Donald Trump’s 15-point plan for Gaza, saying no troops will be deployed until Hamas is “substantially” disarmed.
Trump’s peace team said last month they had reached a deal on “complete disarmament” for Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza.
But Hamas has said the transfer of its heavy weapons is conditional on Israel ending “any form of aggression” and withdrawing its forces from Gaza.
Israel has continued to bomb Gaza since agreeing to an initial ceasefire last October.
“Israel has rejected the 15-point document,” Netanyahu said at a cabinet meeting on Sunday.
The Israeli military “will not make any withdrawal until Hamas is truly disarmed and will continue to make threats against our forces and citizens”, he added.
