Djibouti, June 26, 2026 {HMC} The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today arrived in Djibouti City, the capital of our brotherly country, Djibouti, on a working visit, where he was warmly welcomed by officials from the government of the country.
The President of the Republic is part of the leaders and officials from regional governments and international organizations who have been invited to participate in the national event commemorating the 49th anniversary of the country’s independence from French colonialism, which fell on June 27, 1977.
Also, during his stay in Djibouti, President Hassan Sheikh will meet with the President of the Republic of Djibouti, His Excellency Ismail Omar Guelleh, and discuss strengthening the brotherly relations and traditional cooperation between the two governments and the two brotherly peoples.
