Tuesday 9 June 2026 {HMC} FIFA has confirmed that Omar Artan will not be involved in training and refereeing matches at the 2026 World Cup, due to his entry into the United States.
FIFA said it does not interfere with immigration procedures and visas, as these are matters that fall under the jurisdiction of the host country.
FIFA said that, as in previous tournaments, the host country’s government has the final say on who is granted a visa and who is allowed to enter the country.
This means that the decision on Omar Artan’s entry into the United States is in the hands of the US authorities, not FIFA.
