Monday, June 8, 2026 {HMC} The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) issued a statement saying that a senior AS leader was killed in Lower Shabelle.
The leader was said to have survived several airstrikes in the country’s regions but was finally killed in an airstrike in Lower Shabelle.
NISA did not disclose the exact location of the airstrike or the name of the leader killed, but the statement said that it would report back with full details.
The NISA statement read: “The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), in collaboration with international partners, carried out a special operation to kill a senior Khawarij leader in Lower Shabelle region. This leader had previously survived three operations planned to end”
