Thursday, July 16, 2026 {HMC} – Yemen’s Houthi leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, delivered a televised speech earlier today, issuing a warning to Saudi Arabia.
He said: “Saudi Arabia deliberately targeted Sana’a International Airport in a direct attack carried out in broad daylight.
“There was no justification for that attack, and we had done nothing to provoke them.
“How can they attack us, target us, and then expect us to remain silent?”
He continued: “Our response is clear. If they attack Sana’a, we will strike Riyadh. If they target our ports, we will target theirs.
“If they impose a blockade on us, we will impose a blockade on them.”
Al-Houthi also questioned Saudi Arabia’s policies toward Yemen, saying: “Why do they prevent us from benefiting from our country’s oil and gas resources? Why do they want the Yemeni people to live in hunger and hardship?”
He concluded: “If Saudi Arabia attacks us again, we will not remain silent as we did before.
“They are the ones committing aggression, and they are the ones carrying out injustice.”
