Friday 20 Sep 2024 {HMC} U.S. President Joe Biden formally received the diplomatic credentials of Somali Ambassador Dahir Hassan Arab at the White House, marking a significant step toward strengthening U.S.-Somalia relations.
During their meeting, Ambassador Arab and President Biden discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation, with a focus on Somalia’s development and the government’s ongoing efforts to improve the lives of its citizens.
Ambassador Arab also delivered a message from Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, reaffirming Somalia’s commitment to deepening ties with the U.S.
In recent remarks, Ambassador Arab expressed his intent to further strengthen diplomatic relations and called on the Somali diaspora in the U.S. to support these efforts. He emphasized the Somali government’s goals of fostering bilateral ties, promoting economic development, and advancing the education sector.
