Thursday 25 Jan 2024 {HMC} Men armed with pistols killed Hussein Sharif Amin, who is one of the well-known businessmen, in Firshida market in Baledweyne.
The deceased was at a Bibito place not far from his house when he was killed.
The security forces who arrived at the scene after the incident happened were able to shoot one of the assailants while the one who was with him escaped from the scene as confirmed by Hiiraaweyn media.
The police have also arrested some of the young people in the area, especially those near the scene of the murder.
According to media reports, the late businessman Hussein Sharif has been receiving threatening messages from the Al-Shabaab group for the last few days, but it is not clear what they were specifically targeting him for.
