Somali FM Calls for Enhanced Partnerships for Progress.

Mogadishu, 19, March  2025 {HMC} The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Amb. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, delivered a thoughtful keynote address on Tuesday evening at an Iftar gathering held in Mogadishu, emphasizing the values of unity, solidarity, and collaboration during the blessed month of Ramadan.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation, brought together accredited ambassadors, international representatives, and key government officials, offering a moment of reflection and communal spirit.

Minister Fiqi expressed his deep appreciation to the Ministry of Interior for their continuous efforts in fostering cooperation with international partners.

In his address, the Minister underscored the significance of Ramadan as a time for both spiritual growth and collective reflection on shared values.

He highlighted the importance of international partnerships in supporting Somalia’s ongoing journey toward peace, stability, and development.

Minister Fiqi extended heartfelt thanks to the accredited ambassadors and international organizations for their unwavering support in Somalia’s reconciliation, stabilization and democratization efforts, urging them to continue their commitment and explore further opportunities for partnership.

He also reaffirmed the importance of sustained financial backing to ensure the continued progress of national reconciliation and federal affairs programs.

The Minister concluded his speech by reiterating Somalia’s dedication to strengthening its relationships with global partners, promoting regional stability, and contributing to the broader international community’s efforts for peace and prosperity.

The gathering served as a reminder of the collective responsibility of both Somalia and its international partners in advancing the country’s future, further reinforcing the commitment to working together for a stable, peaceful, and prosperous Somalia.
