Tuesday 11, March-2025 {HMC} United Arab Emirates President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Monday during the latter’s working visit to the UAE.
The meeting, which took place at Qasr Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi, was attended by key UAE leaders, including Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defence.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in various sectors, particularly on advancing development and stability in Somalia. President Mohamud expressed gratitude for the UAE’s ongoing support for Somalia’s development, highlighting the country’s role in Somalia’s progress.
While the official purpose of President Mohamud’s trip has not been disclosed, Somali government officials have commended the UAE’s contributions to enhancing Somalia’s security, suggesting that the visit may include diplomatic discussions on strengthening ties between the two countries.
