Friday, January 3, 2025 {HMC} — The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 22 Ukrainian drones were shot down over six regions of Russia during the night, including areas far from the Ukrainian border.
A brief statement released on the ministry’s social media accounts confirmed that 10 of the drones were downed over the Bryansk region, while others were shot down over the Oryol and Rostov regions. Two drones fell in the Belgorod region.
Meanwhile, in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, a house caught fire after being damaged by a drone strike. According to the newly appointed head of Kyiv’s military administration, Timur Tkachenko, the fire, which broke out in the Darnitsky district in the southeastern part of the city, was promptly extinguished.
