Friday 9 August 2024 {HMC} A delegation led by Somali Police Commander Sulub Ahmed Firin embarked on a working trip to INTERPOL headquarters in Lyon, France.
Secretary General Jürgen Stock welcomed Commander Sulub and his delegation to the INTERPOL Center.
As a full member of INTERPOL, the Federal Government of Somalia, particularly the Somali Police Force, is strengthening its efforts in combating terrorism, drug trafficking, human and arms smuggling, organized crime, piracy, illegal fishing, and facilitating the exchange of international criminal information.
During the 3-day visit, Commander Sulub and his delegation reached an agreement to enhance criminal investigation skills, utilize various INTERPOL databases, and collaborate on international police operations.
