The United States is sending its heaviest weapons to Germany

Thursday 11 July 2024 {HMC} – WASHINGTON – The governments of the United States and Germany jointly announced on Wednesday that the United States will start delivering long-range missiles to Germany in 2026.

This news was announced by the two countries at the NATO Conference in Washington, as this is seen as a major step to counter what the allies say is the growing threat of Russia in Europe.

This decision will send Germany the most powerful weapon that the United States has, and it will be the first time that the United States will install heavy weapons in Europe since the Cold War. Experts say this step is a clear warning to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

NATO leaders meeting in the capital of the United States, on the other hand, promised to donate additional funds to Ukraine, to defend itself against the Russian invasion.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, NATO leaders said that at least 40 billion euros ($43.28 billion) worth of military equipment will be delivered to Ukraine next year.
