Thursday jan-4 2024-{HMC} A section of the Kenyan Parliament from the northeastern region has expressed its strong opposition to Ethiopia’s meddling in the affairs of the Federal government of Somalia, and urged the international community to intervene. The MPs accused Ethiopia of violating Somalia’s sovereignty and undermining its stability.
The Somali representatives in the Kenyan Parliament also appealed to the Kenyan President, William Ruto, to call for an urgent meeting of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) to address this issue. They warned that Ethiopia’s actions could escalate the conflict and jeopardize the peace and security of the region.
