SPF officers undergo community police training organized by ATMIS in Mogadishu

Monday-December-25-2023-{HMC} The Somali Police Force (SPF) have begun a 7-day training program at the General Kaahiye Police Academy in Mogadishu.

 

Organized by the African Union Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) Police, the training aims to equip SPF officers with essential knowledge and skills crucial for effective community policing and crime prevention.

 

Brigadier General Mohamed Mohamud Mohamed, SPF Director of General Operations Command, and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Samuel Asiedu Okanta, ATMIS Police Training & Development Coordinator, expressed their unwavering commitment to advancing the capabilities of SPF officers.

 

They emphasized the significance of ongoing training programs, reaffirming their dedication to continuous improvement and development in the SPF.

 

As the training progresses, SPF officers are expected to acquire practical skills that will contribute to the overall security landscape of Somalia.

 

The program’s focus on community policing and crime prevention aligns with the broader goals of ensuring lasting stability and safety for the nation.
